Prior to joining iNano in July 2007, Andrew was Lead Equity Analyst for Newbridge Securities Corporation where he was instrumental in building the firm’s nanotech investment research practice. Covering a universe of approximately 25 pure-play nanotechnology companies, Andrew received several Five Star ratings based on the accuracy of his earnings estimates. In addition to individual coverage he authored Inside Nanotechnology, a quarterly report monitoring general developments in the space such as scientific breakthroughs, government funding and large corporate initiatives as well as updating the progress of the companies within his coverage universe. Among other projects, Andrew designed and maintained the Newbridge Nanotechnology Index (NYSEArca: NNIX), which was among the first exchange-listed indexes to track the market performance of companies involved in this space. Andrew has been a featured speaker on nanotechnology for numerous conferences, presentations and media interviews, including CNBC’s Squawk Box.
Before moving into research, Andrew worked as a Fixed Income Associate in the Newbridge Institutional division. Prior to joining Newbridge in June 2002, he was a Financial Representative of Northwestern Mutual in Coral Gables.
Andrew earned his BBA from the University of Miami in 2002, where he minored in English and completed coursework in Engineering and Chemistry.
Andrew is a volunteer for and supporter of many community organizations including Miami Art Museum, City Theatre, Miami Children’s Museum, Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel, Leave a Legacy, Liberty Bell Judo & Sambo Academy, New World Symphony and Miami City Ballet and The University of Miami Alumni Association.
Andrew holds the Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses.
